Hey, kids, want to meet your favorite Madison Film Forum critic? Well, we want to meet our favorite readers!
Below I’ve embedded a Google Calendar listing all the films we plan to attend during the Wisconsin Film Festival. I say “plan” because, hey, we might eat or sleep at some point in the coming days. I think you’ll find the “Week” and “Agenda” tabs to be the most useful views of the calendar.
Jake, Taylor and I will wear our press passes (one of my favorite words in English: lanyard) so if you see us before or after screenings come up and say hello. We’d love to hear what you think about the films, especially the ones that we won’t get to see ourselves. We’ll likely have a camera with us, so be prepared to smile and say “cheese” for photos we’ll share on social media.
The only major changes to my schedule from my original “Mock Draft” have to do with opportunities to see films before or after the Festival. I ended up previewing The Congress, and Sundance has posted Le Week-end on their May Screening Room Calendar. This means I’ll be staying on campus Sunday evening, and not get a chance to support the screenings at the Capitol Theater.
I will evaluate my selections, however, by how many times I run into Larry and Dee Dee, Madison’s ultimate cine-couple, during the Festival. When you see them at any film screening in town, you know that you’re probably in the right place. I will update you with a Larry and Dee Dee Sighting Count on Twitter @MadFilmForum.
If we don’t see you in person, join in on the Twitter discussion at #wifilmfest. We’ll have a #wifilmfest widget on our home page for the duration of the Festival.
