Cinephiles Unite! Titles Both Compelling and Bizarre Play at the Wisconsin Film Festival»
Once again this year I had the opportunity to contribute to the coverage of the Wisconsin Film Festival in Madison’s alternative weekly, Isthmus. My short reviews include: La Sapienza, Tired Moonlight, and Roar. Other contributors this week include Kenneth Burns (Stinking Heaven, The Anima Profile, The Lesson), Craig Johnson (Almost There, Ride the Pink Horse) and Joe Tarr (Don’t Think I’ve Forgotten: Cambodia’s Lost Rock and Roll, Speculation Nation). Thanks to Isthmus arts editor Catherine Capellaro for inviting me to participate.
As always you can find free print versions of Isthmus at many businesses around Madison and street corners downtown, or you can check out the newly revamped Isthmus.com.
Next week Isthmus will also publish an interview I conducted with experimental filmmaker Jennifer Reeder, who will visit for her program entitled: Blood Beneath the Skin: Films by Jennifer Reeder.
